Remote Monitoring

Through the advancement of Global Positioning Systems and the services of OrbComm, Drill Cool can now provide a service to the customer we call remote monitoring. By installing GPS units on any of our surface equipment, we can provide accurate locations for that equipment. Through extra channels, we can monitor pumps, motors, temperature, and use this knowledge as a troubleshooting and preventative maintenance tool.

These units email us twice daily, and we can set parameters so we are notified when the equipment operates outside these parameters. For example, cooler 160, fan 2 starts drawing a higher amperage; we are then notified via email that it has exceeded its set limit. We then mobilize a technician with spare parts to fix the said problem.
